Fantastic food for a group of seven including two children on Mother's Day. The scallops with black pudding and crispy bacon was perfect for me, and the roasts and fish of the day were satisfying for the rest of the party. Most went for the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and said it was the best they have had. I had the sublime dessert from the specials menu that came with meringue. Will definitely be back.

My son found this pub online so we called in for lunch prior to boarding my train. It is a lovely old place but very well kept. Several real ales on offer and my pint was well kept. Had the special which was trout. It had been butterflied and beautifully presented. My son’s burger was also excellent. Staff very professional and friendly. Next time I travel through Peterborough I will certainly call in again.

It was a really good birthday celebration for my husband. Claire went above and beyond and looked after us very well. We enjoyed the scrumptious food and they are all well-priced. Too bad they didn’t have the mushroom risotto that day. The only downside is that the restaurant has this smell of a rag that was not properly dried.

Fabulous food, beautifully presented. Staff friendly and helpful. The menu is really interesting and marks the GF/V/VG options. It is a modest range of dishes but they have tried to cover some staple favourites with interesting variations. It is gourmet food with the focus on flavours and modest portions. Ample for me but those with a large appetite would probably want to order a couple of sides. The central part of this place is the bar with seating at the back and around the old whitewash walls inside. Lovely setting and spot for a pint or some fancy food.
